eBooks are no different than books--other than the obvious: They're digital. That's all. Instead of paper, you have it on a screen. In fact, eBooks have certain advantages when it comes to research. eBooks have: powerful searching tools, built in citation, and even note taking tools and connections to your Google Drive! And the search within is a great tool--search for words or phrases (using quotation marks) to find specific topics in the book.

A Couple of Things to Remember:

  • You don't have to read the whole book for your research project. Sometimes a chapter or even a paragraph might work. But that little chunk of the book could provide some great content!

  • Don't forget that ebooks have a table of contents and an index. Those can be really handy! Especially that hyperlinked table of contents!

  • Use the "Search within" tab to search for special phrases or words.
