Senior Seminar Digital Portfolio

Hey! You're a senior! You're almost done! But you still have to complete your senior digital portfoliPortfolio (ICT portfolio). You have three options for working on this:

1. A Google Slide with appropriate information and artifacts. You can use this template. Make a copy and off you go!

2. Create your portfolio in a Google Drive folder. Here's an example. There's a video on this page you can watch. Don't forget: It's best to create shortcut or make a copy, then move the copy into the folder.

3. Create a website! This gives you lots of flexible creativity, plus you can include more than your ICT portfolio--you can include achievements, extracurriculars, athletics, and more. You can share this portfolio with colleges, scholarships, potential employers, and anyone else! Plus, it might get you a positive digital footprint, which is always nice. Here's an example of what that could look like.

The Seven Categories

Here are the seven categories. You should have at minimum two artifacts per category.

  1. Empowered Learner: This is about customizing your learning. You can choose your own technology to fit your needs. In other words, you can find the right tool to fit the job.  You know what technology you need to use to get the job done.
  1. Digital Citizen: You know how to be a decent human being with technology, including social media and legal stuff like citation, copyright and fair use.
  1. Knowledge Constructor: You can show people you know stuff by using technology. Or that you can learn by using digital tools.
  1. Innovative Designer: You can create stuff using technology.
  1. Computational Thinker: You can do math and science with technology. Consider how you analyze information in a digital manner.
  1. Creative Communicator: You can use technology to communicate with people.
  1. Global Collaborator: You can interact with the world using technology.  It wants you working with people around the world, but realistically, you can focus on how you work with other people in a digital way to get stuff done.
