English Unbound

In this course, students take the lead as thinkers, researchers, and creators. Over the course of the semester, each student selects a topic of genuine personal interest-anything from social media ethics to climate storytelling, sports psychology to mythology in video games-and uses it as the foundation for all reading, writing, and research. Through guided workshops, students will explore multiple genres of expression: analytical essays, creative writing, multimedia projects, and reflective pieces. Along the way, they’ll learn to ask meaningful questions, evaluate sources, craft persuasive arguments, and share their discoveries with an authentic audience. This is a class about curiosity, voice, and purpose, and is open to all grade levels.
