English Unbound

In this course, students take the lead as thinkers, researchers, and creators. Over the course of the semester, each student selects a topic of genuine personal interest-anything from social media ethics to climate storytelling, sports psychology to mythology in video games-and uses it as the foundation for all reading, writing, and research. Through guided workshops, students will explore multiple genres of expression: analytical essays, creative writing, multimedia projects, and reflective pieces. Along the way, theyโ€™ll learn to ask meaningful questions, evaluate sources, craft persuasive arguments, and share their discoveries with an authentic audience. This is a class about curiosity, voice, and purpose, and is open to all grade levels.
