Have you ever watched The Lion King? She’s the Man? 10 Things I Hate About You? All of these films are based off of a Shakespeare play! This course will look at Shakespeare’s plays through a modern lens by analyzing film adaptations. Students will enhance their analytical skills as we read the plays together, learning film techniques, and being able to compare the play’s script to the film. Students will develop a strong understanding of the plays’ themes and recognize why Shakespeare is still relevant to the world today.
