The mission of the performing arts department is to offer students a comprehensive, standards-based education in music and theatre arts.  The study of music and theater fosters artistic development, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the pursuit of lifelong learning.  Through performing and responding to the performing arts, all students develop individual skills, realize a sense of belonging and establish connections to the community.
