Peer to Peer

This class guides students in the development of independent life skills. It utilizes a peer coaching model approach to independence, and is geared toward students who are interested in professions that support others. Students with intellectual/developmental disabilities will be paired with peer support partners who are reliable and self-motivated, with a strong ability to take initiative and engage actively with their partners. This class focuses on simple housekeeping, pre-vocational skills, meal prep, clean up, social participation skills and lifetime leisure activities. This course can be taken more than once.
