Introduction to Sports Management

This introductory course emphasizes basic management principles as they relate to the business of sports. Students are introduced to sports marketing, sports law, sports supervision, sports media, sports ethics, recreational sports management and other related areas. There is an emphasis on developing and improving communication skills. An overview is provided with regard to career opportunities in this field. This course will be offered again in 2026-2027 and alternating years thereafter.
